City Dictionary

Every delivery carrier has its own list of cities (the destinations it delivers to), and each carrier spells and IDs those cities differently. The City Dictionary is the bridge: it maps your one fixed internal city list to every carrier’s own cities, so when you dispatch an order it lands on the right carrier city automatically — no per-carrier setup on your side.

How it works

  1. Every order carries a city from the app’s fixed internal list — the same ~801 cities for every account (based on the standard Morocco city set).
  2. When you dispatch an order to a carrier, TajerPro looks up that internal city in the City Dictionary for the carrier you linked.
  3. It gets that carrier’s own city id and creates the parcel with it — automatically, in real time.

What this means for you

  • You never map cities by hand. Link a carrier, dispatch an order — done.
  • The internal city list is fixed and shared, so it never drifts per account. Only the carrier-side translation is maintained, and it’s maintained centrally — once for everyone.
  • New accounts work out of the box: they use the same internal list and the same dictionary, with nothing to set up.

The dictionary is a single grid — internal cities as rows, one column per carrier (the columns grow automatically as new carriers are added). Each cell is that internal city mapped to the carrier’s own city.

An Auto-fill matches every internal city to the right carrier city automatically, using a strong resolver that understands:

  • Arabic ↔ Latin spellings (الدار البيضاء ↔ Casablanca)
  • common short forms and synonyms (Casa → Casablanca)
  • carrier province suffixes (Afra → AFRA-nador, Guelmim → Guelmim-ville)

Because it’s curated once and shared, a city fixed here works for every account — merchants never touch the per-carrier City Mapping page.
